You have several options in your current Windows version to accomplish the same tasks. When you upgraded from XP to Windows 7 or later, you definitely missed this feature. Sadly, Windows 7 and Windows 8 no longer support it. It also has support for I2C and a PIC Programmer (parallel port) although I have not used those features.In Windows XP HyperTerminal, you can connect to COM ports, remote servers, Telnet sites, BBSs, etc., or work with TCP/IP (Telnet).Įthernet or Modem is used to control all serial devices.
